Artist's Description
I created this digital image from my painting "Lyrical Tree", posted here on Fine Art America. I created this painting from a very small sketch. I had a set design with lines and shapes framing the tree. Painting it was planned at first, but when I got into it, it became spontaneous and the planned lines gave way to integration of color and movement within the piece. The artwork became lyrical and poetic. I limited my palette somewhat with set colors in mind. I added extra lines and curves with the paint in the tree. I extended the shapes from the tree into the background as a last minute thought. Taking a look at this piece makes me think of music, tranquility, magic and love. Trees make me happy.

Genevieve Esson has a B.A. in Painting from Webster University, an award winning artist, her work is collected regionally and internationally. Esson is a painter and multi media artist. She has completed over 25 Public Art Projects. Her main medium is acrylics.
