Description
This piece is about the Egyptian Sphinx. I have always loved egyptian art and really like the ruin of the sphinx in ancient Egypt. In this painting I wanted to create a mysterious aura about the Sphinx, like he/she comes to life at night in the desert, when noone is looking, kind of like a mirage, thus you have the tree growing and the lilly pads and the water. On the side of the Sphinx is written, "Amor, Veritas, Pacem" which means love, truth and peace. Commissions available. Watermark does not appear on final prints.

Love this subtle sphinx, cosmic holder of all truly unknowable truths, basking near the beautiful waterlilies, under the eternal stars. .

Oooh! I love this! It has a three-dimensional feel. The hieroglyphics are a special addition.
