Thank you so much for your comments and the positive feedback about this artwork Doug! =) I really appreciate it. This piece was inspired by illuminated manuscripts from Medieval times. I have always enjoyed the brightly colored and well designed illustrations from manuscript pages of the bible, a book of hours from the Middle Ages of Europe. I also tied in an abstract background in the sky to give the artwork a modern touch. I love the colors turquoise and lapis lazuli (blue). The crows and tree are part gargoyle and flying buttress from the old cathedrals of Europe. I hope this helps you understand my inspiration. Thanks again, for your interest in my art.
