Description
I started out painting the tree. The tree is modeled in the classical style of the Renaissance. I wanted to convey a spirit living in the tree and I have always admired Leonard DaVinci's Madonna Of The Rocks. I drew a black & white drawing of the Madonna. I then printed the drawing out & filled it in with color pencil. I cut out the drawing and then collaged it onto the canvas. After drying I added the blue paint. It is a Tree Goddess called "Blue Madonna". This painting represents the sadness of Mother Earth towards humans. We are not very good stewards of our home Planet Earth. We need to take better care of it...
